Did Your Find an Act of Kindness Card?
A random act of kindness can come in many forms and it does not have to cost a single penny. Mostly just a moment of your time that will keep on giving forever. When you perform an act of kindness it is given without the expectation of anything in return. If you expect to be given something for it, then it is not a true act of kindness. You may have noticed people paying for someone's order, or donating money for people to get a free coffee or meal. If you can afford such things, that is wonderful. If not, simply holding a door for someone, smiling and waving, or telling someone to have a lovely day. My grandmother used to tell me, "Kindness goes a long way." I could not agree more. When you are kind to others you have no idea how you impacted them that day.
We have all witnessed the change of energy when we go into an environment that is either positive or negative. A simple greeting and a smile can be enough to make someone feel better and it does not cost you anything.
If you have time, find a nursing home and go meet someone who is lonely and read them a story or find out their favorite song or candy. You may be the one that gets told a story. Nursing homes are full of history just waiting to be told. If you want to go back in time, meet an elderly person and ask them what life was like as a child.
If you can, donate things in your home that you no longer use. Take a backpack with goodies to a homeless person. The things you can come up with are endless. The reason I wanted to do this page was to hear all the creative ways of spreading random acts of kindness. If you found one of my cards, please go below and let me know what you did for your card and how it affected you. You can share as little or as much as you would like. I cannot wait to read about your kindness!
